This fall, I had the opportunity to join the charming Michiel Perry (@blacksouthernbelle_bsb) for her Black Southern Belle Collective (#blacksouthernbellcollective) in the gorgeous Charleston, South Carolina at the Gadsden House. The purpose of the Collective is to provide a diverse learning platform for Southern-based vendors. It was a truly amazing time of learning, sharing and celebrating!
There were many informative sessions– social media networking, using video to grow your brand, marketing to diverse audiences, branding for a Southern lifestyle and so much more. It was such a joy to learn and share from phenomenal thinkers and doers who span several industries. If you are ever in the area for any of Michiel’s events, it should definitely be on your to do list. The take-aways are endless!

After being served a delicious biscuit bar for breakfast, we were treated to delectable lunch session in the courtyard. The custom elements like Sas-E Ink‘s South Carolina shaped menus were a delightful touch!

It was refreshing and exciting to network and learn from some of the best creatives in the area. Creatives who share their craft and passion for what they do. In fact, a few even came from my own backyard– the stunning and talented power couple, Jovan Sage and Matthew Raiford of The Farmer & Larder (@farmerlarder) in Downtown Brunswick.
