I’ve always been in to super intentional, immersive design. At this event, I teamed up with a caterer to design a wrecking ball event for our local convention center (fun fact: the island was getting a new convention center and the old one had to come down. The old one was blown up as part of the X-Men movie) ⁣
⁣
To honor the legacy of the area, I designed vignettes of each decade in the center’s existence, with interactive elements, bars and food stations that were revealed through our the night. ⁣
⁣
We didn’t have a model for the ‘70s vignette, so….

One social media trend I've loved is the photo edits of celebrities with younger versions of themselves.

It started a train of thoughts... what would I say to my younger self? What would I need to know then that could help me now? While there is no time machine, we do have the present of the presence. The lessons we learn and share could help someone else in the various stages of their lives.

So, what would I say?

🗣 You are enough.

🗣 You will survive 100% of your bad days.

🗣 Walk away from any and everything that does not serve you. The first time.

🗣 You can do it.

🗣 If doesn't evolve you, don't let it involve you. You've got big things to do.

🗣 I love you.

🗣 I'm proud of you.
